Coach

A coach that knows your training

// Walkthrough
01

Chat from anywhere

Open Coach from any hub or the // COACH line on Today. Ask about your progress, plan a workout, or get unstuck. Coach also leaves a short note on Today each day.

02

Coach can take action

Coach can draft workouts, edit your routine, schedule sessions, and log activity — but every change waits on your Save. Nothing happens without your tap.

03

Your data, your controls

Coach sees your routine, history, streak, and the messages and photos you send. Mute the daily Today note in Settings; clear the chat from Coach's ··· menu.

// Frequently asked
Q1
What is Coach?
Coach is a conversational trainer built into NOWISLIFE. Open it from any hub or the // COACH line on Today to ask about your progress, get advice, build a workout, edit your routine, or log a session. Coach also writes a short personalized note on your Today page each day. It's powered by Anthropic's Claude.
Q2
What can Coach do on my behalf?
Coach can propose actions — create a workout, add or edit routine entries, schedule a workout, log a session, pay down debt, contribute to a team challenge, or delete a session. Every action is staged as a card and nothing is saved until you tap Save (or the armed two-tap confirm for destructive ones). Coach can't change anything without your explicit confirmation.
Q3
What data does Coach see?
When you chat, Coach has access to your first name, current routine, workout history, completed sessions, streak, scheduled workouts, top-trained exercises, the running notes from earlier daily messages, and your team challenges if relevant. If you attach a photo (e.g. a whiteboard), the image is sent to Anthropic for parsing. Your email, password, and account details are never shared with the model.
Q4
How do I turn Coach off or clear my chat?
The toggle in Settings → Preferences controls the daily Coach note on your Today page. To clear your chat history, open Coach, tap the ··· menu in the header, and choose "Clear conversation."
Q5
What if I attach a photo Coach can't parse?
If the photo isn't a workout (a person, a meal, a UI screenshot, etc.), Coach will say so rather than invent one. Whiteboard photos, program screenshots, set/rep lists, and notebook pages all work. Images are resized on your device before upload and held only as long as the chat turn runs.
